Sept 2-6, 2010 Visit from Sarnia & Hamilton Hoogies

Marc & Renee decided to have one last outing before Sara started schoolfull time. They arrived Thursday and went home Saturday early afternoon.
Kevin, Amy and kiddies also came down. Kevin drove up with the kids Saturday morning, while Amy drove to Belleville with the photographer she was assisting in a wedding. They stayed till Monday.

Sara, Leah & Jeremy. Jeremy just learned to sit by himself. Almost 6 months old.

For our 40th anniversary, Marc & Renee were in South Africa picking up their son Jeremy. We received this gift from them during their visit here.

What a beautiful gift. And no I did not cry. A lot of familiar songs, including the song they wrote for their wedding and sung at the baptism of each of their children. Renee's sister Karen and husband Steve joined them in a couple of songs. Well done, and thank you so much. A better gift you could not have chosen.

This was the first time Jeremy was in Brighton, and as a result we had many visitors. Everyone wanted to meet Jeremy.
Arlene, Jelayna & Jeremy. Herman & Immy popped in also.

Aiden showing off the Lego car he made.

First thing the girls did was play dress up.
How about a smile Sara...

There we go.

Jelayna & Jeremy. Second cousins? Or cousins once removed? Who knows.

This was also the first time Brenda met her little cousin. Didn't take long to snuggle him.

Love these pictures. Couldn't decide which one to post...

So, posted all three of them.

Rachel & Micah on the toy shelf.

Ken & Carla also popped in on Saturday morning while Kevin and Amy were still here. Took about a dozen shots with Carla and the kids. This is the best one. Not easy, but lots of fun. We had 17 for lunch on Saturday.

Micah finally mastered somersaults. Even his onderbroekie. lol

I decided to bring out the bin of Lego and dump it in the living room.

There were always a few kids playing...

Building high towers and karate chop them down seemed to entertain young and old for hours.

Great shot of Erin.

Then Rachel

Look out for the mighty karate chop uncle Kevin!!!

Two buddies

Three buddies

Four buddies

We have a huge lilac bush by the road. Over the years we have made some mazes through them, and the kids call it their "secret forest".

Amy lined up the kids for some Kodak moments. Love their colorful crocs.

They love running through our huge yard.

Not sure what Marcel & Kevin are looking for? The gold buried here 100 yrs ago?
The previous owner told us that a stagecoach was robbed and that the thieves stayed at the inn across the street. When the sheriff caught up with them, the gold was nowhere to be found. Supposedly they buried on our property. So the story goes..

Oh oh,

That pose did not work out....

at all..

Peeling the bark off the trees?

The sisters picking flowers.

Measuring how tall she is.

Copying his sister.

  2. Lieve Alida,

Funny.

Lieve Alida, dit was even een quick mail.
    Groeten aan allemaal.
