Aug 27, 2012 Marcel Bosman's 50th Birthday

Marcel Bosman, our nephew from Holland, wanted to celebrate his 50th birthday with his family in Canada near the place he was born. He was born in Oakville, but returned to Holland when he was little.  Marcel has never been back.  The celebration was a luncheon on his actual birthday.

Marcel and Inge greeting family as they come in.

Carla, Erin and Teresa.

William, Bob, Claudine and Andrew.

The food was scrumptious.  All finger foods.
The restaurant was chosen by Fred.  Great choice.
Unfortunately Fred, Sue, Esther and Leah could not make it.

Michael with niece Sara and nephew Jeremy.

Jeremy getting acquainted with his distant second cousin.

The whole gang

Socializing was awesome.

The Guillaume and Hoogstad cousins don't see each other often.

Marcel and Alida (in case someone is wondering)

Inge and Ann

Cousins:  Kelly-Lynn, Alanna and Jeremy.

Marcel (Marc), Marcel and Marcel.

Twins???

Marcel, Marcel, Marcel and M. Marcel.  Phew.

One Marcel is nuttier than the other!!!

Kelly-Lynn and Leah.

Cute little bottles of Maple syrup from Auntie Carla and Uncle Ken.

"Happy Birthday" sung by the staff.

Very well done.

Happy B-Day Marcel cake  from the staff.
Shared by the birthday boy. A wee bite for everyone.

This is how you snap your fingers.  The youth is never to old to learn.

And what took you so long to come back to Canada???

I was waiting for my 50th birthday.
Echt waar hoor, Tante Ans!

Kelly-Lynn attacking her Uncle Marc, with Jeremy on his daddy's lap.

Erin, Teresa and Kelly-Lynn.

Alanna and Michael.  Season, Braden and Zach stayed in Chatham.

Marc and Renee with their children Leah, Sara and Jeremy.
All the way from Sarnia.

Ann and Frank

Every one was given some tulip bulbs to remember this occasion.  So sweet (lief)
After everyone went home, we sat and chatted for a while in the outdoor cafe.
You are a very special person Marcel.  It was great to share this day with you.
Happy Birthday .

Next morning...to our great surprise...Marcel and Inge popped in for a visit.

Of course the ATV came out.

Marcel giving Inge instructions.

She is a pro!

Some wonderful memories were made.
We will  remember you both when our bulbs grow next spring.

  7. Alida,
